Why should I book now?
We advise you to book now as we have many requests! The number of participants in each tour is limited.

Can I choose the itinerary?
Of course! Besides for our scheduled tours, we can organize private ones based on your needs.

Do you have a minimum number of participants in your tours?
Yes, the minimum number of participants in our tours is of two people in total. We accept bookings from individuals, provided that the total number of participants be no less than two.

What responsibility do we have as participants in your tours?
Participants are responsible for choosing a tour suited to their abilities, fitness level, and health status; selecting clothing and equipment that is adequate for the season; respecting Italian laws and customs; following the rules and directions provided by the tour leader; respecting the rights and privacy of other participants. The tour leader may decide to suspend a person’s participation in a tour if he/she considers that his/her behavior causes annoyance and jeopardizes the well-being of other participants.

In which languages are Rome in a Day Tours held?
Our group tours are held in English. Private tours can also be done in Italian, German, French, and Dutch.

What are the cancellation terms of a tour booking?
The cancellation fee for a booking is determined according to the diagram below. Exceptions to these clauses are only applied in case of rain. There is no refund for those arriving late or ending a tour in advance.

Penalties:
– No penalty for canceling no later than 48 hours before departure time.
– 100% for canceling less than 48 hours before departure time

Are the tours organized by you?
Yes! All our tours are organized by us.

 

E- Bike Tours

Where do bicycle tours begin?
From our shop in Via dei Cerchi 59.

What is the maximum number of participants for Rome in a Day Tours, bicycle tours?
10 people.

What happens in case of bad weather?
The tour is canceled, and the full amount is refunded. There is no refund if it rains after the tour starts.

Do you also do e-bike tours?
All our bike tours are done with e-bikes.

Why book a guided bicycle tour of Rome?
Because you will see Rome with the deserved calm and also because our tour leaders will drive you safely through the journey.

What level of cycling ability is required in your tours?
Our city center tour is suitable for anyone who knows how to ride a bike. The tours’ pace is always on a human scale, and we take many stops. Also, all our bike tours are on e-bikes.

Why book a Vespa/bike combo tour?
Because you can see the center of Rome and the Ancient Appian Road in just two mornings.

What is the minimum age required for children to participate in bike tours?
Children can be carried on a bicycle from one year of age and above. Those weighing up to 11 kg/24 lbs can be placed in a front seat, while from 11 kg/24 lbs to 23 kg/50 lbs they must use a rear seat. We supply the seats free of charge. However, they’re available only upon reservation: we suggest you email us at least 48 hours in advance at info@inadaytours.com

Is it necessary to wear a helmet during your tours?
The use of a helmet, provided by us free of charge, is mandatory.

Is there insurance in case of theft?
Participants in our tours are not responsible for the risk of theft. This responsibility remains with Rome in a Day Tours

 

Do you also accept children on your E-bike tours?

City Tours:

  • Infants under 1 year of age are NOT allowed to participate.
  • Children between the ages of 1 and 6 and weighing less than 23 kg/50 lbs can participate both in private and group tours, riding on a child seat, provided that they are accompanied by an adult.
  • Children aged between 7 and 12  can participate ONLY in private tours, accompanied by an adult, and the ability to ride in crowded streets is required. Children are under the responsibility of their parents. We also provide family cargo bikes and baby carrier extensions connected to adults’ e-bikes.
  • Children above 12 can use a mountain or a trekking bike and can participate both in private and group tours. They are required to be accompanied by an adult, and the ability to ride in crowded streets is needed. Children are under the responsibility of their parents.

Appian way tours:  

  • Infants under 2 year of age are not allowed to participate.
  • Children between the ages of 2 and 17 can participate only accompanied by an adult.
  • Children above 12 can use a mountain or a trekking bike and can participate both in private and group tours.

Are there any discounts for children on your tours?

Children weighing less than 23 kg/50 lbs participate for free, riding on a child seat. Those between the age of 12 and 18 are entitled to a reduction.

 

Vespa Tours

Where do the Vespa tours begin?

Why book a Vespa tour?
Because it’s the only way to visit the city quickly. It’s no coincidence that Rome is the European capital with the most significant number of motorized two-wheel vehicles.

What happens in case of bad weather?
The tour is canceled, and the full amount is refunded. There is no refund if it rains after the tour starts.

Why book a Vespa/bike combo tour?
Because you can see the center of Rome and the Ancient Appian Road in just two mornings.

What’s the minimum age required for children to participate in Vespa tours?
Italian law absolutely prohibits the transportation of children under 5 years of age on motorized two-wheel vehicles. For older children, it establishes the principle that their size must allow them to sit in a stable and balanced manner, in the position determined by the vehicle’s equipment. Children pay full price.

What level of riding/driving ability is required in your Vespa tours?

  • I WANT TO DRIVE: you must have experience in driving scooters also in crowded streets. It is compulsory to bring your driver’s license
  • I WANT TO BE A PASSENGER OF A FRIEND OF MINE: You don’t need any ability but be sure that the driver has experience in driving scooters. You are both entitled to a reduction of the price  
  • I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE. I NEED A DRIVER: You don’t need any ability or habilitation. We will provide a motorist that will drive the Vespa for you.

 

Food & Walking Tours

Where do food tours begin?
From our shop in Via dei Cerchi 59 or From Campo dei Fiori.

Do you also accept children on your Food Tours?
Children of all ages can participate both in private and group tours, accompanied by an adult.

What happens in case of bad weather?
The tour will be held anyway, even in case of bad weather.

Are there any discounts for children on your food tours?
All children between the age of 0 and 18 are entitled to a reduction depending on their age.

Do you do tours for Vegetarians or Vegans?
Yes, our tours are great for vegetarians. Please advise beforehand if you’re vegan, and we’ll accommodate your needs.

What if I have food allergies?
No problem. Please advise when you purchase your tour, and we’ll take care of your needs.
